Life is full of demands, interruptions. Sometimes you have to be late, you have to tell people to adjust to your artistic pursuit’s needs. The overhead speaker in the optometrist’s waiting lobby was announcing my name repeatedly, to which I replied:
“Wait, I’ve got to finish seeing”
